Teeth Whitening
WHAT IS TEETH WHITENING?
Teeth whitening is a cosmetic dental treatment that removes yellow stains and plaque, making teeth brighter.
The process uses whitening agents like hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, which penetrate the enamel to break down discoloration, restoring a whiter look.
It takes about 45 minutes, lightening teeth by 1 to 3 tone, and results can last from 6 months to 2 years, depending on care and diet.

TEETH WHITENING METHODS
IN-OFFICE TEETH WHITENING
In-office teeth whitening methods use whitening agents with concentrations of 35-37% combined with laser or LED light to brighten teeth.
This method provides quick and noticeable results, even for cases with severe staining, such as tetracycline discoloration or fluorosis.
AT HOME TEETH WHITENING
At-home teeth whitening involves using trays with a low-concentration whitening gel (10-15%) to gradually brighten your teeth.
This method allows for flexible timing and is more cost-effective than in-office whitening. However, it is generally only effective for mild stains caused by external factors or aging.
TEETH WHITENING PROCEDUCE
Step 1 – Examination, assessment, and consultation
Firstly, you will undergo a comprehensive examination to determine if there are any dental issues and whether you are suitable for teeth whitening. If you are deemed suitable, the dentist will create a specific treatment plan based on the level of whitening required.
Step 2 – Oral hygiene cleaning
The dentist will proceed with oral hygiene cleaning, including the removal of tartar buildup, to facilitate the teeth whitening process and maximize the improvement in tooth color.
Step 3 – Isolation of lips, gums, and teeth using specialized protective tools
After the teeth are cleaned, the dentist will use specialized medical tools to isolate the lips, gums, and teeth, preventing any damage to the lips and gums during the application of the whitening agent and exposure to strong whitening light. The dentist will perform each step carefully, using supporting tools to keep your mouth open. A saliva ejector will be placed, and a barrier will be applied to protect the gums from contact with the whitening agent, minimizing potential harm.
Step 4 – Application of the whitening agent on the tooth surface
Following the isolation of the lips, gums, and teeth, the dentist will carefully apply the whitening agent onto the tooth surface, typically 4-6 mm in thickness. This step requires precision and meticulousness to avoid spreading the whitening agent to surrounding areas.
Step 5 – Direct exposure of laser light to the tooth surface
The dentist will use a state-of-the-art 4.0 teeth whitening lamp to shine light directly onto the applied whitening agent. This will initiate an oxidation-reduction reaction between the light and the whitening agent, breaking down and dispersing the yellow and stained deposits, revealing the natural whiteness of the inner tooth structure.
Step 6 – Post-whitening oral hygiene cleaning
The dentist will thoroughly remove all traces of the whitening gel containing the dislodged deposits from the tooth surface. Subsequently, another round of oral hygiene cleaning will be performed. At the end of this process, your teeth will be elevated in shade, depending on the initial condition and desired outcome.

WHAT OUR CUSTOMER SAY?
Frequently Asked Questions About Teeth Whitening?
Teeth whitening can cause mild sensitivity after the procedure, depending on each individual’s tooth sensitivity level. However, this sensitivity usually lasts only a few days and can be alleviated by using desensitizing toothpaste.
If teeth whitening is performed correctly, using standard procedures and reputable products, it will not damage tooth enamel. However, overuse or using products of unknown origin may harm the enamel.
After whitening, you should avoid eating or drinking for at least 1-2 hours to allow the whitening gel to stabilize on the tooth surface. Ideally, avoid colored and acidic foods for the first 48 hours to maintain the best results.
Teeth that have undergone root canal treatment can still be whitened, but internal bleaching methods are needed for better results since root canal-treated teeth usually discolor from the inside.
After whitening, you should eat light-colored, low-acid foods such as chicken, fish, eggs, milk, white rice, and light-colored vegetables to maintain the color of your teeth. Avoid dark-colored foods like coffee, tea, red wine, colored soft drinks, and dark sauces for at least 1-2 weeks.
